About Me
My passion for design and renovation started at an early age. I am blessed to have inherited my mom’s creativity and attention to detail and my dad’s ingenuity and work ethic.
My experiences traveling and living abroad for many years — soaking up cultures and architecture from around the world — have provided me with endless inspiration that I use to transform my clients’ homes into their own unique spaces.
My specialty is providing highly personalized design, construction and project management services for a wide variety of clients and their needs. With a keen eye for space, balance and fine details, I work closely with my clients to help them realize their goals – on time and on budget!
As a classically trained singer who spent 20+ years in high-tech marketing, the combination of my creative nature along with my vast business experience has served me well in making The Fix It Chick a highly successful, woman-owned business.
My Team
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to find a great group of folks to work with on all my projects. All carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring and tiling are performed by my employees. And when it comes time to bring in electricians, plumbers and HVAC professionals, I use only licensed masters to perform this work. I’ve established close relationships with 3 of the top companies in Austin and work exclusively with them on all my projects.
Everyone’s craftsmanship, attention to detail and work ethic really come through in the finished product.
Let’s Get Started
Throughout the entire process, I work directly with you to make sure you get all the information you need about design, costs, timeframe, project updates and creative solutions to the inevitable surprises that always seem to present themselves.
Ongoing communication is the key to a successful home renovation project! From the initial concept to finalizing the construction, I keep a close eye on scheduling and costs to make sure we come in on-time and on-budget, and you can start enjoying your new space as quickly as possible.
What People Are Saying
Kristi was very helpful in giving her feedback on the design side of things, and I was very pleased at the quality of the work overall. The couple of mistakes that were made throughout the project, she was quick to own and correct without making excuses, which can be very difficult to find. Very pleased!
